BLOGMAS Day 7: Winter Must-Watch List

The harsh cold of winter has well and truly fallen upon us and it's time for Costa Christmas cups, icy mornings, hot chocolate and snuggling inside on dark nights. If you ask me it's my favourite time of the year and one thing I always love to do is to watch all my favourite wintery films. It's so nice getting snuggled under a blanket on a cold night with a hot chocolate and get lost in a snowy film.

This is my Winter Must-Watch List, all of my favourite films that I love to watch during the colder months. I'm sure you'll find some of your own favourite films on here and I hope they help to keep a warm smile on your face during these next few icy months.

It's A Wonderful Life

This is one of my favourite films, I watch it at least twice every Christmas and also a few more times throughout the year. It makes me cry every time I watch it but the ending makes me so happy. I love getting lost with George Bailey and his family. This year I plan for this film to be my Christmas Day film. It's also lovely watching a film in black and white, it really helps me to appreciate how far film making has come.

The Edge

This film perhaps isn't so happy but it's so good! Anthony Hopkins, a bear that never gives up and the snowy rocks of Alaska. It's a survival film that keeps you on the 'Edge' of your seat!

Ice Age

Surely you must have known there would be a few kids films on this list. Ice Age is such a feel good film, I'm not sure that I agree with there being about fifty of them but I do love the first and second one. The film makes me laugh out loud and I love all the characters. Especially Sid.

Home Alone
I can't say I watch this film a lot lately but I did when I was younger. It's another film that cheers me up and gets me right into the Christmas spirit. The whole film makes me laugh especially the Wet Bandits.

The Grey

This is another survival film starring Liam Neeson and a pack of very hungry wolves. Again, it keeps on balancing on the edge of your seat the whole time and it doesn't disappoint. Granted this film isnt very happy and cheery and quite frankly some of it is gruesome.

Again another feel good film. Also an easy watch that makes me laugh and smile. I love Olaf, he makes me laugh, and I love Josh Gad who plays him! Its lovely watching Elsa make snow monsters from under the comfort of my fluffy blanket.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the original film from 1988, not to remake. After growing up watchin the original the remake was just never the same.
This film is great. Now that i'm writing about it I realize that I haven't watched it for a long time. However when I am watching it I feel as wintery as possible. I love watching people trudge through the snow in Narnia and the White Witch is just fabulous.

The Muppet's Christmas Carol

This is definitely on my top three favourite Christmas films list. It's such a happy film and I love all the singing. A Christmas Carol is a lovely story anyway, but it somehow becomes even lovelier when there's muppet's involved. Also I love Michael Caine!

The Grinch

I'm sure this film is on everyone's Christmas list. Jim Carrey is comical gold, and the film has me laughing out loud. I love the Grinch himself, even as the miserable Christmas hater he was at the start. It's a lovely and hilarious film that really shows you what Christmas is all about.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

I can't even begin to describe my love for this film. It's Halloween and Christmas combined into one film! What can be better? Plus I also love the singing in this film too. Jack Skellington is my favourite and I can't wait to snuggle up and watch this spooky and festive film.

Hope you enjoyed reading my Winter Must-watch List.
Are there any wintery films that I missed off this list? Let me know in the comments.
